01 A home for your media
Start with the folders you already have. PhotoPebble brings their photos and videos into one clean library, right where they belong.
Add a folder or drop one into the library. Your files stay in their existing locations.
Expand folders in the sidebar and explore their subfolders. Nested media comes along, too.
With two or more saved folders, All brings their available photos and videos together.
02 See the whole picture
From a favorite photograph to a just-one-more-time video.
Open it. Enjoy it. Stay in the moment.
View photos at their original resolution. Pinch to zoom and pan to get closer.
Play, pause, seek, and loop. Adjust the volume or go full screen with native Mac controls.
Open a supported file from Finder or the library. The same familiar viewer is ready for both.
03 Make it yours
A few thoughtful tools for the everyday. Make your adjustments, then save a copy or choose to replace the original when supported.
Crop to a preset ratio or your own framing. Rotate and flip supported photos. Undo, redo, or reset while you explore.
Photo editing supports eligible single-frame, 8-bit SDR RGB images.
Trim with Start and End handles and preview your selection. Choose an available output format, resolution, and frame rate.
Available export choices depend on the source and macOS codec support.
Your save. Your choice. Save a Copy keeps the original. Replace Original changes it after output validation, when the format and source allow it.
04 Yours, by design
PhotoPebble works locally with the folders you choose. No cloud library to set up. No account to create.
Removing a folder from the library only forgets its saved access. It doesn’t delete your media.
A few good questions
PhotoPebble is a native Mac app. Confirmed macOS and hardware requirements will be available with the Mac App Store listing.
No. Add a folder and browse its existing photos, videos, and ordinary subfolders. Files stay where they are; PhotoPebble doesn’t import originals into a separate library. Hidden folders, packages, and symbolic links are excluded.
Photos: JPEG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, TIFF, GIF (still frame), BMP, and WebP. Videos: MOV, MP4, and M4V, with playback depending on the codecs supported by macOS. RAW and animated-photo playback aren’t supported. Editing has additional format and image-content limits.
Choose Save a Copy to keep the original. Replace Original changes the source file after the edited output has been staged and validated, and is available only for supported matching formats and unchanged sources. Replacement has no undo after saving. Photo exports may be re-encoded and may not retain every metadata field.
PhotoPebble will initially be available exclusively through the Mac App Store. It isn’t listed yet. Once it is, this page will take you to the official listing.
